The Asian Communication and Photonics Conference was held.
On October 26, 2018, the Asian Communication and Photonics Conference hosted by Zhejiang University and China Jiliang University was held in New Century Grand Hotel, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou. Professor Linjie Zhou, Liangjun Lu, Xinyi Wang, Hanyu Zhang, Weihan Xu and Hao Hu participated the meeting. At the meeting, Professor Zhou, as an invited guest, made an invitation report on the theme of “Silicon Optical Switch Development and Challenges”. Liangjun Lu was the chairman of the conference and presided over the meeting. Xinyi Wang, as a representative of outstanding students, campaigned the Best Student Paper Award and elaborated on “High-order transverse-magnetic mode Mach-Zehnder modulator for OOK modulation”. Weihan Xu made an oral report about “Dispersion-engineered Optical Phased Array for Aliasing-free Beam-steering with a Plateau Envelope”. Hanyu Zhang made a detailed discussion on the paper “Silicon microring resonators tuned with GST phase change material” at the meeting. Hao Hu also made a speech about “Non-volatile optical memory based on a slot nanobeam resonator filled with GST material” The conference summarized the achievements of each scientific researcher in the field of optics and made further detailed arrangements for the next work plan.
